 Badges, belt loops, ranks, and awards are all important to a scout.  They not only will make his time as a scout enjoyable but they also provide an opportunity for the scout to learn as he completes the requirements. Whether this is done as a Pack, a Den, or with their adult partner or parent the opportunity for growth in the boy's life is the important aspect.  Take the time with your scout to look for oppotunities to learn and try new things through the scouting activity.
